Fed: New taskforce to weed out education stimulus rorts=3

The taskforce would receive, investigate and respond to complaints in relation to the
program including individual school projects, Ms Gillard said.

It will refer complaints, or evidence of potential breaches of the law or guidelines
to the appropriate authority for action.

The task force would be able to assess "the value for money" of individual projects,
including project oversight and administration.

"The taskforce will be able to investigate and assess at its own discretion", she said.

Ms Gillard said it also would be able to make recommendations about changes to policy,
contracts or projects to ensure that objectives were realised.
