FED:Surat preparing for evacuations
The rural township of Surat is preparing for evacuations as flooding that's already
emptied the nearby community of Condamine charges on.
Acting Police Assistant Commissioner ALISTAIR DAWSON says evacuation planning is underway
for the small township .. in the state's southwest.
He says flood waters are likely to peak at Surat next week but the level is unknown
because too many variable are at play.
