Qld: Police hand accused stalker woman s number, inquiry told
A Queensland inquiry has heard a Brisbane businessman made several obscene phone calls
to a woman after he obtained her number from police.
The woman and her husband tried to escape the man by moving twice and they obtained
an unlisted telephone number.
But the Criminal Justice Commission has been told the man persuaded police to divulge
the number, disobeying security protocols on police computer files, because he wanted
to help her.
